Most Valuable Player

How do you follow up a 200-point MVP season that came after missing an entire year? You score a single-game record 47 points in your first game of the season, pass Brett Favre for #1 all-time on the career scoring list and post 295 points, a new single-season scoring record. Peyton Manning won't be playing in this weekend's Super Bowl, but he remains the single greatest YFFL player ever and the unanimous winner of a record fourth (and back-to-back) MVP award.

Rookie of the Year

With Le'Veon Bell's early injury scare, questions about Montee Ball's role in the Denver offense and Tavon Austin slated for the slot in St. Louis, an already shallow draft class was muddled headed into the 2013 YFFL Draft. However, there was one stand-out in training camp, and it was enough for several teams to try to move up with hopes of picking him. The Memphis Brothers didn't let Eddie Lacy get past pick #2 and the result was 66 points that helped turn the Brothers into contenders and give Lacy a Rookie of the Year trophy.

Macor Misa

2013 had many great storylines, but none may be better or more unlikely than that of the UCornn Huskers. One look at this list tells you just about everything you need to know. The Huskers finished 6-7 last season, traded their best player in the offseason and were predicted to be battling it out for the top pick in next year's draft. A 7-0 start spearheaded by 4 of the players on this list erased all that and left them just 2 points shy of a Super Bowl berth. Leading the charge was Knowshon Moreno, a promising player that was drafted #2 overall in 2009, had a couple strong seasons and then disappeared for two years. The Huskers rescued him from the scrap pile and enjoyed a 102-point season in the high-octane Denver offense. He's this year's Macor Misa recipient.

Owner of the Year

In a season where the award winners were fairly cut-and-dry, Owner of the Year caused quite a fervor and forced many to step back and question what being a "good" owner is really all about in the YFFL. Is it possible to be penalized for having too many good players? Are prior expectations more important than end results? Do impassioned pleas help or hurt your cause for awards? In the end, an 18 win season and two division titles was enough for Mike Kinsman to capture his second straight (and record 7th) Owner of the Year award, but it was surely many of those questions that kept him completely off two ballots.
