Llama Llama Mid-Week Drama

Jon Kinsman, YFFL Commissioner

September 13, 2018

After a disappointing opening week loss that saw the AFC East favorite Llamas score a league low 28 points, they decided to make some very big changes.

The Llamas acquired 2017 Rookie of the Year Deshaun Watson and Michael Crabtree from the Buddies and Mallards respectively on Wednesday night, further turning over a roster that has also seen the departure of D'Onta Foreman on the night of the YFFL Draft.

GM Ryan Gibbons is hoping that Watson can return to the electrifying player he was last season before a season ending injury and join rookie Saquon Barkley and (hopefully) Le'Veon Bell to create a potent trio.

Heading to the Buddies is Amari Cooper, who fills a gaping hole at WR, and a future 1st Round draft pick*. The deal also paves the way for Patrick Mahomes to take over regular QB duties. Mahomes tossed 4 touchdowns while on the bench in Week 1.

The Mallards acquired QB Jameis Winston. He will join Carson Wentz and Jimmy Garoppolo as one of the league's best collection of young QBs.

* The draft pick will be the Llamas' first top 8 pick available in the next three draft years. If the Llamas do not have a top 8 pick in years 1 and 2, the Buddies will take the 3rd year pick - no matter where that pick is in the 1st Round.
