Beasts of the East

Jon Kinsman, YFFL Commissioner

After an 0-2 start, the Llamas have come roaring back with 4 straight wins to take over the top spot in the AFC East thanks to rookie standout Saquon Barkley and new acquisition Deshaun Watson.

While Bear Poop has been garnering the attention of the league with their high scoring fireworks, the Llamas have quietly returned from the brink. A slim victory over the Boys in Week 6 was the latest in a string of close calls (their last three wins have come with a margin of just 19 points) and also the fourth straight game that saw Barkley score double digit points.

With Le'Veon Bell maybe (possibly? hopefully??) returning soon, the Llamas are poised to take full control of the East and perhaps challenge the Eaters for AFC supremacy.

Elsewhere around the league, the White Guys remained undefeated thanks to a late charge from (who else?) Todd Gurley, who is now on pace for a 200 point season, the Eaters and Mallards played to a 66-66 tie after the Sunday night heroics of Tyreek Hill, who produced his second 3-TD game of the season, and the Dragons erased a 0-3 start to pull even at 3-3 and insert themselves in the Wild Card hunt in the NFC.
