Class of 98

Jon Kinsman, YFFL Commissioner

Drew Brees and the Chickens showed why they will be a team to be reckoned with come the playoffs by rolling up 98 points (a tie for third most in league history) in a statement win over the Eaters.

Brees led the way with 24 points as he continued a marvelous bounce-back season and 4 other players scored 10 or more in the rout. The victory keeps them up 2 games in the NFC West as divisional play returns next week.

The 98 points weren't the only big numbers in the division, as the Beans, Brothers and Huskers combined to score 206 points of their own. It was a much needed shot in the arm for the NFC, who (with the exception of the White Guys) have seen themselves outplayed by their conference counterparts.

Elsewhere around the league, the White Guys survived a down game to remain undefeated, the Orangutangs continued their improbable season with a win and key losses from divisional rivals to stay in the playoff hunt, and the AFC in general continues to be anyone's guess as just 2 games separate all 8 teams in the conference.

...and both of Steve's teams won too.
