In a year that saw record scoring across the board, points were hard to come by in the opening round of the playoffs. However, the Refugees and Chickens did just enough to advance to the Conference Championship games.

Clinging to a slim 5-point lead heading into Monday night, the Refugees rallied behind Sebastian Janikowski and Stefon Diggs to deliver enough points to seal the victory. The defeat will be an especially tough one to swallow for Poop owner Brian Davidson, who decided to go with Cam Newton at QB, only to see the team's all-time leading scorer Tom Brady toss 3 touchdowns from the bench, including 1 to Rob Gronkowski, who posted his first double-digit game of the season for the Refugees since Week 1.

As for the Chickens, they were able to hang onto a narrow 3 point victory as Bri's QB troubles continued. Jared Goff threw for 28 touchdowns in the regular season, but wasn't able to come up with just one more on Sunday night, wasting a 2-TD effort from Christian McCaffrey.

The Refugees will move on to face the surging Buddies and the Chickens will attempt to hand the defending champion White Guys their first loss of the season next week with a trip to Super Bowl XXVI on the line.
