By Any Means Necessary

It wasn't always pretty, but the NFC West champion Huskers scraped together enough points to outlast the Chickens and move on to the NFC Championship game.

Despite starting the year as preseason Super Bowl favorites and winning 7 of their first 8 games, the Huskers were clear underdogs coming into the opening round of the playoffs. Matched up against a Chickens team that was coming off four straight victories, including a 105 point effort in the final week of the season, few people gave the Huskers a chance to progress towards an elusive championship.

However, 14 points from WR Gabriel Davis early on Sunday provided a glimmer of hope and after a marathon week that saw games run into Tuesday night, the Huskers were able to piece together enough points to overcome the Chickens despite the continued struggles of Russell Wilson. They will move on to face the Big Boys for a spot in Super Bowl XXIX.

Over in the AFC, the Refugees got out to a fast start with 18 points from Travis Kelce on Thursday night and never looked back. Along with Josh Allen's 18 points, Anthony Aceto's squad tallied 61 en route to a 61-33 victory over Bear Poop. The league's two highest scoring teams will now face off in the AFC Championship as the Refugees take on the Merry Men.

As for Bear Poop and Tom Brady, it was another disappointing finish in what has been an illustrious YFFL career. The league's all-time points leader delivered his worst game of the season at the worst time and failed to get out of the first round of the playoffs for the 4th time in 5 tries. While Brady has experienced real world Super Bowl success, he has yet to bring one home for Brian Davidson and the Poop.
