There will not be a repeat champion this year as Bear Poop captured the AFC East crown and eliminated the defending champion Cuban Refugees from playoff contention thanks to a late Tom Brady touchdown pass on Monday night.

The Week 13 match-up was a microcosm of these two teams battle for the division over the past several weeks as Poop once again showed the resiliency they've demonstrated ever since the Refugees pulled within one game of the divison lead in Week 10. While Brady delivered the knock out blow, it was rookie WR Christian Watson and breakout RB Tony Pollard who once again led the way, combining to score 4 touchdowns.

Coupled with that pair's late season emergence and the acquisitions of Mike Evans and Alvin Kamara, Brady finally has the supporting cast he's been looking for his entire career despite an injury to WR Cooper Kupp and an up-and-down season from RB Najee Harris. Will it be enough to bring a Super Bowl title home for the YFFL's all-time leading scorer?

In the league's other big game this week, a pep talk from 2001 MVP and 2003 Super Bowl MVP Jeff Garcia seemed to light a fire under the Market Thugs as they snapped the Buddies 6-game winning streak and locked up the NFC Wild Card with a 50-36 victory.

QB Geno Smith delivered his finest game of the season, tossing 3 touchdowns to pace the Thugs with 22 points, and a pair of touchdowns from teammates Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson sealed the win. After topping the 50 point mark in the first 11 games of the season, the Buddies have now failed to reach that mark in consecutive games. Is this just a slight bump in the road or are specters of last year's collapse creeping into the locker room?

We'll find out soon enough as we head into the final week of the YFFL regular season before the road to Super Bowl XXX kicks off.
