Oh Brother(s)!

Jon Kinsman, YFFL Commissioner

Brian Davidson's Bear Poop may be the defending champions, but Davidson's Memphis Brothers put the YFFL on notice in Week 2 that he may be looking for a different kind of repeat.

After scoring 47 points in a stat-scarce Week 1, the Brothers exploded for a league-high 82 in Week 2 behind double-digit scoring from five different players to improve to 2-0 on the young season. The hot start is a vast departure from last year when the Brothers didn't win their second game until Week 9 and mustered just three victories the entire season.

Leading the charge was QB Jared Goff, who scored three touchdowns and appears poised to deliver a big season in a retooled Lions offense. Together with RB Christian McCaffrey and a dynamic duo of Drake London and Amon-Ra St. Brown at WR, the Brothers are one of the league's most exciting teams and ready to put the memories of 2022 firmly behind them.

Elsewhere around the league, several other teams managed to knock off the rust after a sluggish Week 1 and post 70+ points. Those included the Chickens (73), Mallards (72) and Refugees (70), all of which had high hopes heading into the season and improved to 2-0. Meanwhile, Bobby Sansone's Beans and Thugs, both playoff teams a year ago, continued their early season struggles and are both still looking for their first win of the season. They will attempt to right the ship in Week 3 as key divisional matchups continue.
