A Wild Finish?

With the other playoff spots wrapped up, all eyes will be on the AFC Wild Card race over the next two weeks as five teams battle it out for a chance at the postseason.

Defending champion Bear Poop's season was on the line in Week 12 and they were able to overcome a 30-point effort from QB Dak Prescott and down the Orangutangs thanks to a group effort that saw four different players find the end zone and 15 points from K Blake Grupe. The 59 points was their best output of the season.

While the Tangs still hold a slim 1/2 game lead, owner Brian Davidson's team will look to ride the same late season crest that carried them to a championship a year ago and overtake them in the final weeks.

However, they won't be alone in the chase as the Merry Men staked their claim with a 68-48 win over the Buddies and have now won 4 of their last 5 games while averaging 61 points per game over that span. This week's win was led by the return of RB Kyren Williams, who continued his early season success with a massive 20-point game and also the best game of the season from rookie RB Bijan Robinson, who has now posted back-to-back double digit games.

Trailing closely behind are also the Thugs, who stumbled in Week 12, but remain very much in the mix, and the Eaters are also hanging around at 5-7 despite off-loading several veterans before the trade the deadline. With divisional match-ups continuing over the next two weeks (including the annual Merry Men-Thugs match-up in Week 14), we may be heading for a truly "wild" finish to the season.

Elsewhere around the league, the Chickens rebounded from a tie last week to crush the Huskers and wrap up the NFC Wild Card, and while the divisions have been decided, the first round bye remains very much in play for both conferences as the Refugees pulled into a tie with the Buddies at 9-3 and the Dragons and Brothers both secured their 10th wins of the season.
