In a possible Super Bowl preview, it was business as usual for the Buddies as they easily handled the Brothers and showed why they've won 11 or more games in 4 of the last 5 seasons.
Leading the way was RB Joe Mixon, who tallied 12 points in his new home in Houston and WR Tyreek Hill who shook off a pre-game arrest(!) to deliver 10 points and continue his ascent up the all-time scoring list at WR.
As for the Brothers, the odds-on Super Bowl favorites mustered just 20 points, a far cry from their average of 56 last year as they put up the 4th highest total in league history. They'll look to get back on track in Week 2 as divisional plays opens up with a match-up against the Huskers, who also struggled in Week 1.
Elsewhere around the league, owner Brian Davidson's other team didn't have any trouble scoring as Baker Mayfield scored 4 TDs to lead Bear Poop to a 66-36 victory, Josh Allen and the Refugees also scored 66 as they tamed the Dragons, and the Chickens outlasted the Merry Men 46-43 to give the NFC one of its only two victories during an opening week of non-conference match-ups.
