After an 18-point performance from RB Saquon Barkley on Thursday night, it was looking like a big upset could be brewing for the Llamas as they took on the defending NFC champion Brothers.
QB Jared Goff and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown put those thoughts to bed quickly as they combined for 47 points and six touchdowns early on Sunday to pace the Brothers to their best performance of the season. Bunched with the Chickens and Beans atop the NFC West and with division play looming next week, there was little margin for error and owner Brian Davidson's team responded with their 8th win in the last 9 games after starting the year 0-2.
The Brothers will take on the Beans next week in a must-win game for Beans owner Bobby Sansone as RB Joe Mixon (3 TDs on Monday night) and the Buddies snapped their league-high six-game winning streak in Week 11. The Brothers will then face off with the Chickens the following week in a titanic match-up that may decide the NFC West champion, a first round bye and perhaps a Super Bowl berth.
Elsewhere around the league, the Dragons have clawed back from a 0-3 start to take the lead in the NFC East with three games to play, the Refugees are on the verge of wrapping up the AFC East and the Merry Men continue to hold off the Buddies in the AFC West, but the walls are starting to close in. They will play each other this week in a match-up that may decide the division.
