After back-to-back NFC titles, many YFFL pundits questioned whether the Brothers could reach a third straight Super Bowl and finally capture the elusive championship they’ve been chasing for 33 years. Their Week 1 victory was solid, but it lacked the dominant form that saw them pile up more than 1,400 points over the last two seasons.

Those doubts were silenced in Week 2 as QB Jared Goff and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown erupted for 56 points and 8 touchdowns, powering the Brothers to an 86-53 rout of the Chickens and a 2-0 start. Late third-round pick RB Javonte Williams also scored for the third straight week, drawing early comparisons to the surprise breakout seasons of RB Jamaal Williams and RB Raheem Mostert in recent years. The Brothers will look to press their advantage in the NFC West in Week 3 against the struggling Beans, who are now without QB Joe Burrow for the foreseeable future.

Around the league, owner Anthony Aceto’s two squads stayed perfect: QB Lamar Jackson carried the White Guys to another win, while the Refugees survived a rare down week from QB Josh Allen. The defending champion Merry Men look primed for another run after rolling to 2-0 behind three touchdowns from backup QB Mac Jones. Meanwhile, the Big Boys edged the Dragons 66-61 in a Monday night thriller thanks to a late score from RB Nick Chubb.
