Will this ex-con and the Chickens' lack of depth hold them back again from a Super Bowl title?

• The Chickens appear to be primed for another run at the Super Bowl Championship that has eluded them for 8 years. After a heartbreaking 1-point loss to the Merry Men in week 1, the Chickens have rallied behind Donovan McNabb, LaDainian Tomlinson, Brandon Lloyd and Terrell Owens to score 166 points over the last two weeks. If Mike Kinsman has a concern though it has to be depth. Jamal Lewis and Kevan Barlow have been disappointments thus far and there aren’t any options on the Chickens bench. One wonders is Kinsman should have traded David Carr while his stock was high prior to the season...
• Owners are growing increasingly impatient with the Mallards “rebuilding” process. Owner Steve Dugas’ reluctance to sign a starting QB via the waiver wire and instead opt for Devery Henderson, has at least three owners wondering if the Deputy Commissioner has any integrity at all…
• With the Boys basically handed a win in Week 4 from the Chris Simms led Mallards, the Brothers are suddenly on the outside looking in at the playoffs. The schedule won’t get any easier for Memphis with the Chickens, Huskers and Boys in coming weeks…
• While Brian Davidson remains the popular choice in the early voting for Owner of the Year, don’t overlook the job Jon Kinsman is doing with the Dragons. Kinsman certainly has work left in front of him though with Chad Pennington lost for the year and Anthony Wright struggling. Look for Kinsman to turn to familiar face Mark Brunell to save any playoff aspirations…
• Despite a discouraging 2-2 start, Bobby Sansone believes the Beans can compete with the Chickens. Trent Green and Tony Gonzalez have been disappointments but the Beans have the depth to make a blockbuster trade and improve at both positions instantaneously…
• Peyton Manning finally allowed Huskers owner Kevin Sansone to exhale after three unimpressive weeks. Sansone now has to hope Priest Holmes starts playing like the Holmes of old in order to keep up in the NFC West…
• It looks like the White Guys’ glass slipper fell off after last year’s loss in the NFC Playoffs. Age has appeared to have caught up with Curtis Martin, Fred Taylor and Duce Staley. Aaron Brooks is losing fantasy value each week as well. On the bright side for owner Anthony Aceto, the White Guys look like a perfect fit for Matt Lienart in next year’s draft...

Is it time for the Buddies to give up on Michael Vick as their franchise quarterback?

• Following a huge win against the defending champion Merry Men, the Buddies have emerged as the AFC favorites. Mike Vick however, has yet to prove he is a worthy fantasy QB and his future with the team remains uncertain. Is there any doubt that Alex Smith will be handed the reins once he is ready? Smith appears to be the steal of the draft thus far and the Buddies could be on the verge of a dynasty…
• While the Buddies and the Merry Men are likely to grab two playoffs spots in the AFC, the Llamas appear to be emerging as the favorites to grab the other playoff spot. Jerome Bettis and his 1-yard TD runs are close to returning and Andre Johnson has to start contributing soon, right?
• Brian Davidson and the Poop are close but are likely still a year away from challenging in the AFC. Ronnie Brown and Chris Perry will be the RB tandem next year while Chad Johnson and Santana Moss head the WRs. Davidson will use this year to determine if Tom Brady is a premier fantasy QB…
• One of the great storylines yet to come in the YFFL this year is Steve Dugas, Daunte Culpepper and the Merry Men. Daunte Culpepper has struggled mightily on the road while Trent Dilfer has been rejuvenated in Cleveland. It should be interesting to see if Dugas can overcome his love affair with Culpepper and bench him in situations when Dilfer has a better fantasy matchup. The Merry Men clearly have the talent to return to the Super Bowl but will Dugas’ fantasy ego stand in the way?
• Despite their struggles, the Refugees still have a bright future. They are loaded with young talent and are patiently waiting for stars to emerge. Now could be the time to trade veterans Kerry Collins and Adam Vinatieri for more young talent…
• Bobby Sansone is at a loss for words over the total collapse of the Thugs dynasty. Losers of 13 of their last 14, Sansone is toying with the idea of unloading Edgerrin James, Anquan Boldin and Ahman Green if things don’t turn around soon…
• The Orangutangs get Ricky Williams back in a couple of weeks and Kinsman expects to start him at UT immediately. The 'Tangs WRs other than the ageless Jimmy Smith have been a huge disappointment and Kinsman is reportedly regretting turning down the Beans trade offer of Eddie Kennison and Donald Driver for Laveranues Coles on draft day…
• If the Eaters had started Neil Rackers in each of the first four games he would be 4th in the league in scoring trailing only Tomlinson, Carson Palmer and Marc Bulger with 50 points. The Eaters are stuck in mediocrity, which remains the most undesirable place in the YFFL. Is it just me or does a Marvin Harrison for Stephen Jackson trade make the most sense?
